Addis Ababa, January 05, 2022 (Walta) – China’s President Xi Jinping has invited Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki to visit China for extensive talks on the bilateral Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
Eritrea’s Minister of Information, Yemane Geberemeskel noted on his twitter page that President Isaias has received Chinese senior delegation led by State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi at State House today.
During their discussions President Isaias has elaborated on Eritrea’s developmental programs and perspectives on regional and international issues of mutual importance.
Both sides agreed to enhance their cooperation on human capacity building, infrastructure, mining Massawa and Assab port developments.
According to Yemane, President Isaias for his part has applauded China’s monumental progress in the past 100 years under helm of CPC to the benefit of Chinese people and the world at large. In addition, he paid tribute to China’s significant role to advent of balanced global order predicated on respect of international law.
